What is Café Scientifique?

Cambridge Café Scientifique provides informal and lively events around contemporary science issues. We feature a variety of local scientists, talking about their work and how it is affecting our lives.

Our events aim to inform, to entertain, and to provoke debate with a public audience. We are committed to promoting public engagement within science and to making science accessible to all.

The events are free and a complimentary drink is provided. A short informal talk is given by an expert scientist providing background on the topic and setting the scene. This is followed by questions and discussion.

Cambridge Café Scientifique events are held monthly from 7:30pm in B Bar. Further details and a map can be found on the Location page.
